IBM BPM (Business Process Management) Components Overview

IBM Business Process Manager (IBPM) provides a platform on which Business Processes can be described, implemented, executed and monitored.

Components of IBM BPM 

Following are the main components of IBM BPM
1. Process Server 
2. Process Center
3. Process Designer
4. Performance Datawarehouse
5. Process Center Console
6. Process Admin Console
7. Process Portal


Process Server : It runs the business process defined by BPD (Business Process Diagram).

Process Center : It is comprises of repository, instance of process server and performance datawarehouse for unit testing.

Process Designer : It is a client of Process Center used for modelling the processes. 

Performance Datawarehouse : It is a database for collecting and managing the data of process server instances. Single performance data warehouse can be assosiated with multiple instances of process servers.

Process Center Console : Web based interface for managing process center managed projects.

Process Admin Console : Web based interface for system administration.

Process Portal : Web based interface for end users.
